Whitest Boy Alive & Steve Aoki

Hello people! finally The Whitest Boy Alive had their show in Jakarta on the 29th of Nov, and what a show it was! maybe it's just because im too excited. they are the real entertainer i think, and Erlend Øye is so fantastic and seems enjoyed the show! He really got the crowd cheering and dancing, and generally grooving along to his adorable tunes. The Whitest Boy Alive sounds nice touch, they played some of the songs exactly as you'd hear it on the record, and some they added stuff to. And they played "show me love" cover version and Stardust’s "Music Sounds Better With You"... It was fun, though. Do make them come here again once their next album is released. awesome show!

miss that gratify and need some kinetic energy!

I want to put all of my pain in a chest of drawers
and we could take it out by the lake to empty ashore.
Or we could sell it at an antique auction or some other place
that has a bigger type of market for those kind of things.
You could buy me something in exchange.
It's hardly fair but that's the price you pay.
Or you could buy me something hard to drink
cause you know me...
And you know that I've got problems,and you know that drinks wont solve them.
Everybody knows that we've got problems in our room...
maybe we should move.

I tried to put all of my faith in the hands of a man.
And when he failed me I cried out what gives with my plans?
It's always my plans.
When I said that it's all your fault,it's funny I should place the fault at all.
It seems to me the fault is in our drinks
and the way I think...

When I know that you've got problems,and I know that I can't solve them.
Everybody knows that we've got problems of our own...
we should let it go.

For every lie I told,
the promises you made and broke...
We laugh it off, and we let it go.

The Lord has my our separate parts and joined them with forgiving hearts
We laugh it off, and we let it go.
Forgive it all,

good day

this Good Day...

agyness deyn free-falling-five-stories-naked-onto-a-crashmat photos. they have surfaced, and are in POP mag fall 2008. as obnoxious as she is, these photos are quite eyecatching. in some, she looks like shes magically floating, in others, the moments of falling are captured in a way that is just plain striking.

Dr Marten's strikes back

Dr. Marten is one of those brands that will always have a significant cult following. It’s safe to say that as long as there are disenfranchised youth somewhere, Dr Marten will have a solid constituency. and now is the time for dr marten strike back with their new collection and innovation.
Dr. Martens take a simple yet fresh approach at two of their models with a "Made in Monochrome" series that will be coming out this Fall/Winter 2008/09. The collection features two shoes from the 1460 series - an 8 eyelet boot and a 3 eyelet shoe - the "Made in Monochrome" series stripped things down to only the essentials and provide very clean, sophisticated yet effortless looks.

Glastonbury Festival

Just a bit info about Glastonbury festival which is including either one of me and my bf's dreams. all this time we're only watch it at youtube, we're so excited to see the people, you know, everyone coming together for the same thing. Everyone wandering around, and basically seeing all the bands and taking in the atmosphere.

Glastonbury Festival is the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world and a template for all the festivals that have come after it. The difference is that Glastonbury has all the best aspects of being at a Festival in one astonishing bundle.
It's like going to another country, a hip and thrilling Brigadoon that appears every year or so. Coming to Glastonbury involves a fair amount of travel, and probably a queue to get in but, when you get past these impediments, you enter a huge tented city, a mini-state under canvas. British law still applies, but the rules of society are a bit different, a little bit freer. Everyone is here to have a wild time in their own way.
The Festival site has distinct socio-geographic regions. The more commercial aspects are around the Pyramid, Other and Dance stages, which feels as if the West End of London a Saturday night has been removed to a field and thoroughly beautified. Unlike the West End, visitors are on every guest list, from the night time cinemas to the biggest gigs. But that busy whirl of excitement is not to everyone's taste.
The Festival takes place in a beautiful location - 900 acres in the Vale of Avalon, an area steeped in symbolism, mythology and religious traditions dating back many hundreds of years. It's where King Arthur may be buried, where Joseph of Arimathea is said to have walked, where leylines converge. And the site is ENORMOUS - more than a mile and a half across, with a perimeter of about eight and a half miles.
The first Festival was held on the day after Jimi Hendrix died, over a two day period and before long “word had got around”. It was the Blues festival at the Bath & West Showground that had inspired Michael Eavis to begin a festival of his own although on a smaller scale.

fumbling the future

Found a flaw in the ending of a book that I've read twice
I set her straight, it's not based on my life.
There's tension in this room, We both blind to look forward
Fumbling 'round in the dark with a flashlight.
No need to be uncalm
We'll leave it by the phone
A message you can swallow
A letter to sign
No need to be alarmed
We'll leave this all alone
And all the guilt will follow you in a line.
We travel to the past by memory
Imagination’s what our future will be?

shut my eyes.

Which Trainspotting Character Are You?

new hobby for another money : TIE-DYEing

a new hobby for another money, yess! i love to tie-dyeing so much, it's kinda gratify, cheap, and easy.
i got my first tie dye shirt a year ago, it was a gift as "oleh2 dari bali" from my lil' bro. waaw, i love it so much...
several days after receive that tie dye, i got an idea to make my own tie dye. i decided to learn "how to make a tie dye" from youtube . and finally got my act together and got right into the adventure of tie-dye. Not only the adventure of finding the right shop to buy my next shirt, but experiencing the exhilaration of creating one of those great pieces of clothing myself. maybe you should try by yourself! it's cool...

this is a picture of my first tie dye shirt from Bali.

isn't this amazing?
yeeaah, but im not ready to show you my own tie dye now, because it's still messy. SOON, i promise!

Interested in making tie dye of your own? Here are basic tie-dye techniques, supply lists, and easy projects you can do.
tie-dyewiki.com
Supplies needed :
* 100% Cotton T-shirt
* Fiber-reactive dyes
* Soda Ash
* Squirt Bottles
* Gloves
* Dust mask
* Apron or old clothes
* Rubber bands and/or string
* Measuring Spoons, Cups
* Containers for Mixing and Mixing Tools

Prepare the shirt :
Before tie-dyeing your shirt, it should be scoured or washed with hot water to remove any sizing that may keep the dye from adhering to the shirt.

Mix the Dye :
Next, you will need to mix the dyes. You can either mix the dye in water or chemical water. Fiber reactive dye will dissolve more easily in warm water 95-110 degrees. When handling dyes, you should be very careful to avoid spills. You should also wear gloves and a dustmask. Please review Dyeing Safety. Most sources recommend mixing 2 tsp of dye to 1 cup of water. Consult Procion Dye Concentrations for further discussion. Mix the dye thoroughly. Guidelines for Mixing Dyes Pour the mixed dye into squirt bottles.

Fold and Soak the Shirt :
You also need to fold the shirt. Some easy common folds are the accordion fold, spiral, and Scrunch or Chaos. Once you have folded the shirts, soda soak them in a solution of 1/4 cup of soda ash to one quart of water for 10-20 minutes. Try to squeeze out the excess solution without disturbing the folds. Some prefer to allow the shirt to dry out a bit over time--perhaps overnight.

Apply the Dye :
When you are ready, apply the dye to the fabric using the squirt bottles. How you apply the dye depends upon the the fold or folds you used. In the case of the a spiral fold, apply the different colors in wedges like pie slices. With a scrunch or chaos, you might apply the dye randomly starting with lighter colors and progressing to darker colors. Shirts tied with the accordion fold are generally dyed by applying dye to tied off sections. (Refer to specific folds for more guidance.) Make sure you get the dye gets into the inner layers by inserting the nozzle into the folds (unless you want a lot of white). Primary colors can also be blended on the fabric as the dye is applied to create seconday colors. For example, purple can be created by applying both red and blue dye to the same section of the shirt. Refer to Color for more information about color and for color recommendations.

Cure, Rinse and Wash :
Put the dyed shirt into a plastic bag and let it cure in a warm place (at least room temperature) at least 12 hours (refer to cure time). Remove the string or rubber bands and rinse out the dye starting with cool water at first, then rinse in hot water (some people put the shirts directly in the washing machine without initial rinsing). The shirts should be washed a couple of times before wearing--at least once in hot water. After that, most recommend washing with darks a few times before combining with regular laundry as a precaution.
